How to Import Filament and Process Profiles into Bambu Studio

John Schneider

Here's how to add 3D-Fuel filament profiles to Bambu Studio. It takes about a minute.

1. Download the profile

Download the profile file for your material and printer:

Material Profiles
Pro PCTG Pro PCTG profiles, plus Matte Black and Pro PCTG-CF10
Tough Pro PLA+ Tough Pro PLA+ profiles
Standard PLA+ Standard PLA+ profiles
Pro PETG Not yet. Start from your slicer's generic PETG profile and use our Pro PETG print settings.
PET-CF In progress. Use our PET-CF print settings for now.

2. Import it into Bambu Studio

  1. Open Bambu Studio.
  2. Click File, hover over Import, and click Import Configs.
  3. Find the profile file (or files) you downloaded, select them, and click Open.
  4. If you see a message like "A config exists with the same name… do you want to replace it?", click Yes or Yes to All. This overwrites any existing profile with the same name.
  5. You should then see "There is X config imported." The number should match how many files you selected. Click OK.
  6. Select the printer and nozzle size the profile was made for. The imported profile appears in the filament drop-down under User Presets (sometimes labeled Custom).

Import the process profile too

Some of our downloads include a process profile along with the filament profile. Import both. The filament profile sets temperature, cooling, and flow, but speeds and acceleration live in the process profile. Pairing our filament profile with a stock process profile is the most common cause of "too fast" problems.

Profile not showing up?

The most common cause is having a different printer or nozzle selected than the one the profile was built for. Restarting the slicer also helps. See Importing profiles and fixing profiles that won’t show up for more fixes.
