Pro PETG Technical Data (TDS, SDS, RoHS)

John Schneider

Typical properties (ISO methods)

Property Test Value
Specific gravity ASTM D792 1.27
Tensile strength at yield ISO 527 49 MPa
Elongation at break ISO 527 240%
Flexural strength ISO 178 64 MPa
Flexural modulus ISO 178 1,800 MPa
Notched Izod impact ISO 180 7.3 kJ/m²
Heat distortion temperature (0.455 / 1.82 MPa) ISO 75 72 / 62°C
Haze ASTM D1003 <1.0%
Transmittance ASTM D1003 90%

These are typical resin values from the TDS, which also lists ASTM results. Printed parts will differ depending on settings and orientation.

Compliance

Pro PETG contains no bisphenol derivatives (such as BPA) or phthalate plasticizers regulated under EU RoHS.

The base resin is certified for food contact in the US, Europe, China, Japan, and Korea. That doesn't necessarily make 3D printed parts food-safe, because the printing process itself, including layer lines and contact with the printer's nozzle, affects whether a part is safe for food.
