Printing Pro PCTG-GF10

John Schneider

Glass fiber adds stiffness, hides layer lines, and gives a matte finish. Dedicated GF10 profiles aren't published yet; start from our standard Pro PCTG profile and make these changes:

  • Bed: 65–70°C. At 80°C, GF10 sticks too well to textured PEI.
  • Nozzle: 260°C
  • Cooling: lower fan speeds for better layer bonding
  • Max volumetric speed: about 6–8 mm³/s on a 0.4 mm nozzle. Larger nozzles may go higher; calibrate to find the limit.
  • Pressure advance: calibrate separately
  • Hardened nozzle required.

Don't use the standard Pro PCTG profile unchanged; overhangs and strength suffer. GF10 spools and boxes are labeled "GF".
