Pro PETG and Pro PCTG are both copolyesters, and they print in similar ways. Here's how to choose.
Choose Pro PETG when
- You want an economical, all-purpose material that's tougher and more heat resistant than PLA.
- Your parts don't need the extra heat, impact, or chemical resistance of Pro PCTG.
Choose Pro PCTG when
- The part needs more heat resistance. Pro PCTG handles about 5–15°C more heat than PETG, depending on which PETG you compare it to.
- The part needs higher impact toughness or chemical resistance.
- You want more colors. Pro PCTG has our widest color range.
See Printing Pro PCTG vs. PETG: what's different in the Pro PCTG wiki.
Choose PLA when
The part won't see heat or impact and you want the easiest possible printing and the widest color selection.
