- Storage: airtight container with desiccant. Pro PCTG absorbs moisture more slowly than PETG, but it still absorbs it.
- New spools normally print fine out of the bag, but a spool can pick up moisture if its seal was damaged in shipping.
- Signs it needs drying: popping or hissing, more stringing, rough or hazy surfaces, tiny bubbles in the extruded plastic, and plastic building up on the nozzle (steam pressure from the moisture makes the printer over-extrude). See Fixing nozzle buildup, blobs, and zits.
- Bubbles can also mean overheating from printing very slowly.
- Dryers with presets: if there's no PCTG option, use the PETG setting.
